Built a 2 button macro keyboard. One of the buttons cycles through my tailnets with the `tailscale switch` command. The other one is for future use, the ALT was the only other keycap I had handy.

Puttering, trying new things. Spent a half hour trying to figure out what I had done wrong just to find out was a bad USB cable.

You can temporarily extend the key from the Admin Console ... menu. Long enough to disable key expiry.
Still breaks things, but if that's your only access path, there's a way back in.

Some progress on my retro sleeper build. Found an old, broken 286 compaq laptop that had the same vibes as my old 386 laptop I had as a young person.
I've gutted it, converted the old keyboard to USB, and replaced the dead screen with an LCD from a 1st gen ipad running on an HDMI adapter.

Some progress on my retro sleeper build. Found an old, broken 286 compaq laptop that had the same vibes as my old 386 laptop I had as a young person.
I've gutted it, converted the old keyboard to USB, and replaced the dead screen with an LCD from a 1st gen ipad running on an HDMI adapter.
