Nerd who loves to read and craft. She/her. CR: Love Requires Chocolate (Ravynn K. Stringfield)
Finished stitching my 2025 book tracker! Been very satisfying to catch up on at least one craft project. It's helping me find little sparks of joy in the world right now.

Pattern by thestircrazycrafter & purchased on Etsy. Genres & representative colors chosen by me.

I love how absurd this convention is. Warms my nerd heart.

Jinu shrine already has a start as of Wednesday night/Thursday morning at Dragon Con. Spotted by my husband in, I think, the Marriott. Or maybe the habitrail tubes connecting Marriott & Hyatt.

Today's small joy: caterpillars chowing down on milkweed in my garden. 🤞 Fingers crossed that they survive!

Little buddy is living his best cat life. Maybe in my next life cycle I can be this spoiled and relaxed.

I really love river oats. Sea oats. Whatever you call them. The seeds are so lovely and the drooping angle is so graceful.

Cat snoozing on my lap and excellent novel in hand. I've had worse Friday nights.

I got started adding June reading to my cross stitch book tracker, and then realized that I'd never shared my May progress. Books read are in comments.

SUCH a great addition to my week. Totally worth losing a bit of sleep to "just one more chapter" my way though Daughter of Tides. www.kitrocha.com/book/daughte...

Rain today changed the plans I had, so today is dishes, laundry, & reading.

I'm glad that a trip to the used bookstore last year ended up with me buying War for the Oaks by Emma Bull. I picked it up 100% because I like the cover art and it was a great choice.

Best side effect of my slow re-read of The Shadow Rising is that I'm near the end of the book just in time for the s3 closer.

Just read this page. I knew in e1? (e2?) that the exchange sounded character correct but hadn't realized how much came straight from TSR. #WotShowSpoilers

Probably my favorite WoT S3E7 post from Tumblr today. I snort laughed so hard. #WotShowSpoilers #TheWheelOfTime

I'm someone who has multiple books going at once. This weekend's reading: The Shadow Rising by Robert Jordan (in what might be my slowest reread ever), A Blade So Black by L.L. McKinney, and The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomez.

I finished stitching my February books read in my cross stitch book tracker. These are: A Psalm for the Wild Built - Becky Chambers; A Prayer for the Crown Shy - Becky Chambers; The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes - Cat Sebastian; Rogue Protocol - Martha Wells. Each color marks the book's genre.

The more I listen the more horrified I am at how much influence these various societies have had on politics. Good grief.

When i eventually re-read Focault's Pendulum I'm going to scoff a lot less than I did on my first read.

Honeycomb has been such a delightful read. This is already overdue at the library. I think I'll have to buy my own copy so I can sit with it, savor it, and take my time.
