For what it’s worth I have been slowly upgrading to all stainless by shopping at Marshall’s, home goods, etc. I’ve been buying things 50+% off retail. It’s taken a while bc everyone wants the same stuff but it’s been worth it. Got Viking, Cuisinart and all clad

How many mph do you think is an ok tolerance in a 15, 25, 30, and 40?

You make it there in 8 hours instead of 11 assuming only highway driving and no stops. That’s negligible on a 2 day drive.

I’ve always maintained that all exams should be open book. Essentially all jobs are “find and apply theory, memorize via application”, not “consider all theory and apply it from memory”

Guy in my neighborhood walked around at 8am banging some shit together yelling “trump won! You lose!” at nobody in particular. He didn’t look like life was going well. I think I know which house he had and I think he’s since moved. I would feel bad for these ppl if they didn’t ask for it

I had to think about this for a while, but I agree; with a caveat that storytelling in games is just different than movies or books. Density is a key component of the latter, while games are often great in spite of looser storytelling.

My concern, as a person with a disability, isn’t that others are taking advantage; it’s that services won’t be available to me or others who need them. “Need” is subjective, obviously. We can be bad actors! And it’s OK to acknowledge that.

This is what it’s like at a bulge bracket bank, esp if you’re junior

I guess I should have assumed you weren’t interested in the discussion mtsw is actually having! Should have read more of your comments before engaging

The point is that cost of living and uncapped rent increases heavily incentivize home ownership. Especially when you can write off all your interest

My living expenses have meaningfully decreased since buying and will continue to beat renting by 6-8% y/y by doing nothing (except having 3% for a down payment, plus closing costs)
