My instinct is 20s/30s, but maybe it’s older? (I’m thinking of that really modern-looking fossil-inspired set that’s somehow from the 1800s)

Urban was such a good McCoy! I did also enjoy Kirk/Spock, but not as much as the originals (I just find Pine v charming & like Quinto’s quiet performance)

They look so silly!! How can you resist letting them have a little waddle & grapple time? It’s enrichment for everyone involved, really 😂

It’s been such a consistently cold winter that last night as I was falling asleep I was thinking fondly on walking outside in air that doesn’t hurt at all. Felt impossible but I know it’s coming!! (On the bright side, -6 feels almost warm now so uhh that’s neat? 😅)

Indeed! It’s a design I’ve made before, but I was definitely referring to them like that in my head (also I used one of the Peter Peter tracks from the Cottage ep in the process video I posted about them on insta…just as a wink to anyone who Knows 😂)

Thank you!

Thank you!! I’m working with a new underglaze brand (kiwi) & it holds up so well in the glaze fire 👍

He is!! I just picked the biography (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatal_P...) up because I’m obsessed with the Franklin Expedition, but I ended up falling in love with Rae and all his adventures instead.

That makes sense 🥲

(If you haven’t read Ken McGoogan’s biography of him, I recommend it. I’m not a big non-fiction person, but it was so interesting & well written!)

John Rae was pretty cool (listened to the Inuit re: what happened to Franklin Expdt, generally treated Indigenous people like human beings. Also he was good at incredibly long walks). Not that he’s an unproblematic hero, but he definitely stood out amongst the other Arctic explorers of the age!

The few concerts I’ve seen in the last 10yrs have hit SO hard due to how little live music we see (tho we do go out to a cool quarterly event put on by some of the members of the NAC orchestra where they play weird modern stuff & that’s a ton of fun!)

I feel the same way about vibe-memories (also Ottawa’s touring-music scene is SO sparse that I almost never see live music anymore — THO! My beloved Matt Berninger of The National is coming in March touring his new solo album & I’m SO excited)

I wish I’d gone to more!! I’m still jealous that Ian saw Wolf Parade during Canadian Music Week right after we started dating & I didn’t go 😭
