I was just thinking the same. I know everyone needs to pay their rent, but I can think of a million jobs I'd rather do than to violate people's civil rights and the constitution. People in the National Guard didn't sign up to occupy DC. why don't they all just quit?

People in the arts and humanities are resigning rather than oversee their institutions be used in unethical ways. Kinda makes you wonder about the leadership of the national guard........

This is fascinating. I realized the same a few years ago when my cousin from WI came to visit us in CT a few years ago and brought mace, just in case. I grew up in Manhattan, lived on the south side of Chicago and have traveled around the world and it never crossed my mind to buy mace.

there were a surprising number of vegan restaurants in Berlin when I was there too. it's apparently the new thing, which is crazy when you think about traditional German food......

And they won't. This was exactly how the Soviet Union ruled - don't define a term/rule so that you can crack down when and where you feel like it and people self-police out of fear.

Income driven repayment is the only way I managed, so I hate to take that away from anyone. But it's a bandaid on the corrupt student loan banks stockpiling the interest for later. We need free tuition/full tuition remission for people who go into necessary fields. student loans are debt slavery

Thank YOU for everything you do. You are a real inspiration to everyone everywhere! And thank you for pushing them to change the rules about babies on the Senate floor!

I don't see these as separate. Or the separation is part of the problem. “This can’t be permitted.” Passive voice, all of which begs, “by whom?” By us. People feeling powerless enabled his rise. A better day won't come without alternative power structures. No one is coming to save us.
