I weep that so many Americans can’t be bothered with trying to even just read between the lines of the Smith testimony. They don’t know that responsible governance is unflashy, backed up, detailed. And I want to sit with people through the 8 hours of video and explain it.

Zoe Lofgren yesterday, when asked if that would happen, was, to me, bizarre. Said (paraphrasing) “Oh, maybe; we have to see what else is going on, we’re going to have a lot to do for the American people so I don’t think so, there’s only so much time…” I really didn’t get that.

The administration is acting lawlessly. There’s no check from Congress and no effort to find a middle ground.
