That’s the bitter truth, isn’t it?

We're living in a country where citizens bear the risks, but corporations reap the rewards.

Where military contractors get blank checks, oligarchs get tax shelters, and media conglomerates decide which crises are “real” and which ones we’re supposed to ignore.

Only to watch it declare that the future belongs not to citizens, but to military contractors, oligarchs, and the corporate media capture which has Americans voting against their own interests, navigating diseases we haven't fought for 50 years, while our economy tanks as they still profit.

Let me also say, I think this time is a very different event. Trump isn’t the same, and, the Republicans are increasingly upset with some of the things that are happening - particularly the blatant quid pro quo with Russia. The Republicans base hates it.

Thune *can’t* refuse, that’s the point of impeachment.

And further, I think even Thune thinks he needs to go. Republicans in the Senate are really pissed off about this.

Prune60 - could you give me some context? I’m unfamiliar with how the bonds are structured, rate, terms, maturation dates, etc. On the face of it with my limited understanding, it looks like the return is less than inflation? Is that what we are seeing here?

This is, in fact EXCEPTIONALLY amusing for those of us who have been keeping up with current events in Russia the last few years, as well as the absurd idea China has been buying US engines aside from those on commercial aircraft.
