The reason I think the US #TikTok ban has a nefarious background (boost Zuck & Elon‘s businesses/ US influence) is that the EU would’ve banned it by now if it was a major concern.

OK, I searched for colonialism with Lahaina fires and found an article from Business Insider (wasn't expecting that) that has a good focus on how colonialism changed the landscape and that contributed to the fires.
