That kind of weather…

Winter glow tea with black tea, orange and cinnamon 😇

George street in full bloom 😍

How good? Lots of people taking the opportunity to use the free busses to George Street Market. 7,500 trips (instead of 4,000 on a normal Saturday).

People who might drive all the time have possibly taken the bus for the first time.

Transport choices matter.

The lecture “The crisis of human collective decision-making in a social media world” by Prof. Carl Bergstrom, (University of Washington) @ Otago Uni was very interesting.

Dis/misinformation in the current world of AI slop and the effect it also in democratic processses is significant.

You should look at Stu’s data which looks at the trend of polling.

Bath street; Beats and Eats. Very cool this has been turned into a little square with live music, food trucks and local hospitality putting out outdoor seats. But what’s with all these different gates? A bit confusing. 😁

Drink regulations perhaps? Still weird for this European 😎🙃

While I was making this photo, I heard my friend say; Sigh. So lovely it’s finally car free, eh!”

Love seeing councils using this framing; opening streets (to people), instead of closing streets (to cars). 👏👏👏

See you all there! 💃😎🛍️

It is 😍
February 5, 2026 at 10:01 AM
And hospitality is pumping. 😎

If only we’d close that road to cars (and open to people), eh.
February 5, 2026 at 8:03 AM
Lots of surfers and swimmers in the water too. 😍

Thought it would be quiet (first time here in the evening), but a beautiful summers night @ 9pm, St. Clair.

Stunning day today! 😎Hope this Saturday, we will have similar weather at the George Street Market, just like last year!

And council doing lots of data collection! 👏

Come for the shopping, stay for the live music and food trucks 🍔🎸
