As you imply, trying to herd cats is not effective.

That's why it's appropriate to place the responsibility on more unilateral actors, like the social media companies.

Well, yes. But nuking the internet (specifically social media tbh), in its current form, might be the best we can do with what we got.

It's quite obvious the current trajectory isn't healthy or sustainable. At least, not if you want to avoid even more dystopian outcomes.

To @cdprojektred.com's credit, they have created some of the best action RPGs in the world... And it still pales in comparison to Larian's singular influence with BG3.

NGL: you guys don't have the action chops CDPR does. Stick to what you know best: cRPGs. 2/2

We used to expect people would lose friends if they act like selfish POSs.

Now, we have interviews like this, where an idiot can't grasp why people don't like it when you support bad things.

The SCOTUS has no enforcement mechanism of their own.

Abuse it until they realize it's in their own best interest to put politics aside and decide cases on the merits.

Make an entire campaign platform out of "The SCOTUS is hopelessly corrupt!"

Americans already see them as illegitimate.

This is why I wanna vote for whatever politician takes a no mercy approach to the SCOTUS.

Don't just pack the courts: browbeat them into removing Thomas and Alito (at the very least), THEN pack the courts to ensure the traitors of this country can't usurp the power held there again.

It astounds me how naive they act about the motivations of the right and contrarians.

It's almost as if they are intentionally ignoring the reality.

You guys have NOTHING to be proud of over the past decade.

NOTHING. If I were you, I would re-examine my prior and self-worth and make the right decision.
December 8, 2025 at 6:32 PM
Yes, and you guys do a completely worthless job of framing the stakes and "degree of badness."

Utterly worthless job. Americans being completely delusional about reality is directly related to your industry's performance. Be better.

*Now* is no time for American journalists to be haughty.

This is why packing the courts is not enough: we also need to have no mercy in removing justices who have ruled on cases where they should have recused.

We should also consider any opinions for which those justices were part of the majority to be null and void.

I mean, lest we forget: she is *currently* an Editor for @vanityfair.com.

If we're lucky to be sure.

Right now, our government is basically a huge metaphor for the obligatory "This is why we can't have nice things."

Right, but I don't think we should base our laws on whether rich people can fly to another country to circumvent them.

Nor do I think it is prudent to leave gene editing up to a mish mash of state laws, especially considering where some state legs are at today.
