Yeah, my wife and I are seriously looking at neighborhoods in Illinois.

We are lucky enough to work in an industry with offices pretty much everywhere, including in and around Chicago.

Would feel nice to know my elected officials don't want me/my wife dead or in prison.

I think even in that instance there's too much concentrated power. Reddit still has too much power there.

It makes it easier for bad actors to concentrate attacks on private speech.

I would prefer going back to the old, disparate forums that predate the entire idea of "social media."

I think we should all sort of confront the reality that social media sites aimed at general society are a huge mistake.

Social media sites should be like Catholic Saints in that there's a bunch of them all catering to relatively small common interest groups. And moderation follows to taste.
