Only the military remains outside Trump’s grip. Despite the firing of several top officers—and his threat to fire more—the U.S. armed forces are still led by generals and admirals whose oath is to the Constitution, not the president. But for how long?

The Civil-Military Crisis Is Here
The leaders of the U.S. military may soon face a terrible decision.

True. But the shit you write is trite. Arguing with people, peacocking about. You have faux bravery for making semantic driven stands that do nothing to help understand or solve the current moment.

"Agree with me or shut the fuck up" isn't the truth, it's just you being cranky :)

It's amazing how many people have opinions on what should be written but haven't written it themselves. There are dozens of platforms where anyone can publish their own work. The only barrier is desire, effort and focus but I guess it's easier to tell someone else what to write.

Also, I was part of the team that got "Charles in Charge" on the air

This dude is such a nazi collaborator fuck. His entire adult life he did PR for warcrimes and is still stuck in that mindset.

The thing is, you can't distinguish far-left accounts from the MAGA-prankster accounts, because the horseshoe theory is real.
radiofreetom.bsky.social
I have literally (in the proper sense of the word) written thousands of words about Trump and his plans, called JD Vance an asshole in print, and warned that the US military may have to disobey orders. You know, the safe stuff! :)

Tom has a cat — so this IS the nice version of him.

I'll do time before I put ketchup on it

I write under my own name every day

So you didn't write this?

This was some other Tom Nichols admitting that he'd be too scared to write something under a fascist leader?
radiofreetom.bsky.social
If we were living under fascism, none of you would be here daring to post things. You'd be erasing your social media accounts and keeping your head down; you'd know that peacocking your faux-bravery on a network would expose you to being disappeared.
You have no idea what "fascism" really means.

And it was kept under locked glass

Also sounds like you didn't check the article and find out that I didn't actually write it

Vanity candidates? Sounded like you’re looking for subject matter. But follow your instincts. Never Trumpers never give up!

Trump and I both love Diet Coke, which should have been the tell, and it's kept me out of prison so far
wittywebhandle.bsky.social
This is just you admitting that you have far more in common with Trump, someone you openly despise, than you're willing to admit

You'd rather live uncomfortably in a world that's run by a White Supremacist Dictatorship rather than give ink to a single opinion that upsets them enough to come for you

"Work to earn their trust" is of zero interest to me. I put my views on a page, and if you like them, fine. But when we're facing this level of threat, I have no faith in people whose trust needs to be earned.

She is a beacon of the future. If you don't recognize that, you should shut the fuck up, Tom. You and I are anachronisms at this point in time. You, more than me.

Finally, someone mad at me about not writing about a *different* issue
ponderosatree.bsky.social
This Democrat is done with never trumpers, unless they quickly see the stakes over these health care cuts and help. Even MTG recognizes the unnecessary threat to accessing care the cuts represent. Of you can weigh in on vanity candidates, can you weigh in on draconian cuts please?

Sometimes, I chuckle? Other times, I post my mail so others can think over the politics of the OP. Sometimes it's to open the door to make a point I want to make.

I am grateful for this counseling
wittywebhandle.bsky.social
You're kinda proving my point by not answering my question lmao

It would be very easy to shut me up by doing so.

Instead you've quoted me twice for no purpose other than to complain that you have people that bother to care that you are bad at your job.

I'm just gonna say that I don't curse that much with Tim, and he totally goes to places I can't even follow him
radiofreetom.bsky.social
That advice goes for everyone, no? :)
radiofreetom.bsky.social
Kind of you to say :)
No plans to write on that, but never say never
