Now that the Deloitte report, about the government's unlawful administration of mutual obligations, is making international headlines, it's worth looking at what's actually in it (apart from AI slop) and WHY it was actually commissioned

The part on vaping is comically wrong. If you’re going to claim the benefits of unrestricted vaping (which is what you’re advocating for) you best come with more evidence than ‘some people, many of whom have a financial interest, passionately claim it helps people quit smoking’

And that’s why we in the Democratic Party are going to direct every available resource to destroying our own candidates who want to do something about inequality or other crazy things like that

Portland is not "war ravaged." This is delusional and dangerous.

Sending troops into American cities doesn't make our communities safer — it just stokes fear and stirs up chaos.

Trump is plunging further into authoritarianism every single day.

An interesting read. Not sure I agree that critical voices are being excluded from the conversation (at least at my institution) but the questions posed are valid and worthy of consideration regardless

Disappointing but unsurprising that coalition MPs are still trotting this one out. Even if our emissions didn’t matter (and they do), we can hardly expect other countries to act if we just dust our hands and say “we aren’t helping”

There’s a lot of vibing going on in AFL. Speccies are a classic example - you can’t make contact above the shoulders EXCEPT if you are doing something that looks really cool. We love vibing it 😆

Despite the data showing this, the age assurance report summary downplays this bias, saying "“systems performed broadly consistently across demographic groups, including Indigenous populations".

Talking about the company’s ‘bold strategy for a smoke free tomorrow’ - that would be the strategy of continuing to sell tobacco everywhere while also selling vapes. Very bold of them!

If this is a club for parliamentarians to play sport, why does it need corporate sponsors at all?

“The club is chaired by the prime minister, Anthony Albanese. Its corporate members include fossil fuel company Ampol, alcohol companies Lion and Diageo, outsourcing company Serco, consultancy firm Canberra Consulting and other companies.”

In a world in which politically palatable downstream thinking reigns, teaching upstream determination of health inequity can be difficult.

But it’s what "global health” shld be about.

In this paper led by Neha Faruqui we share lessons from our experience & observations!

Given this is making some waves - here is the piece and you can judge for yourself.

(I'm fine, there are no issues - right wing ecosystem just doing what right wing ecosystem does).

Take care of you - it's rough out there! Ax
