What kills me is that we’ve somehow given insurance companies authority over our healthcare system to decide what is medically necessary. It’s like pre-buying a new car but when it’s delivered it has no seats. You argue with the dealer and their response is “You don’t need seats to drive the car.”

We manage to spend 2x per person on healthcare from European countries, which pretty much cover everything.

Well said. It’s a touchy subject but *emotional and intellectual toughness* should be listed as a virtue, especially in Higher Ed. Your well articulated categories would be a huge step in the right direction.
