The 80’s were kinda the end of the quicksand fixation. It was really popular in early adventurer films. Probably because it was a special effect that had been around since stage plays and was an easy peril. Once we started traveling more, the idea of quicksand being everywhere unknown died out.

Apparently he had to learn a bunch of his lines phonetically because his English was even worse than Vizinni’s.

So angry that Netflix stopped doing physical releases of their stuff. The physical release of Stranger Things first 2 seasons were amazing. I’d love to see something like Nimona, or She-Ra, or Russian Doll.

It took me so long to realize that the hunter he’s been running from for decades is played by the same actor as his father. That was intentional. It was thematic. The concepts of generational trauma are amazingly relevant in that film.

There are more impactful episodes, but I happen to be very partial to s3e13 Scratch n’ Sniff. It’s fun and has a unique narrative structure.

I’ve been noticing this recently. I made the assumption it was my fault because I’ve had longer nails and thought I just couldn’t see that I was missing the intended spot.
