So, in other words, more waste of taxpayer money by the irresponsible Trump administration that will drive up the deficit.

A lot of what some might call “handouts” is actually just effective resource management.

When vaccines and preventative medicines are covered, for example, hospitals end up under far less strain.

It’s a good system for everyone except people who might want to profit from the worst outcomes.

A pretty consistent theme that is emerging in this period is that regular people are prepared to risk what they have to stop fascism while the most protected, wealthy and powerful people are willing to risk nothing at all.
Mark Zuckerberg and President Trump met at Mar-A-Lago. Statement from meta:

“It’s an important time for the future of American Innovation. Mark was grateful for the invitation to join President Trump for dinner and the opportunity to meet with members of his team about the incoming Administration”

In 2018 Dems elected the largest class to Congress since Watergate, ~60 seats.

A lot of it was, yes, Trump backlash. But the winners also had another thing in common, despite a wide range of differences: most rejected corporate PAC money.

It’s a hugely compelling factor to voters & underdiscussed
I think the Dems need to field gruff corruption busters at all levels whose primary campaign response to culture war issues is “All Americans should enjoy the freedom and bounty of this great country. That won’t be possible so long as venal men impoverish you and loot the country of your wealth”
