Why does the Navy need to attack these alleged drug smuggling boats by air? Wouldn’t it make more sense for an amphibious assault group, or one of the several destroyers in the Caribbean, to seize the boats? If a boat takes any offensive action, that would be the time to blow it out of the water.

Whatever anyone wants to say about the legality of the military strikes on the alleged Venezuelan drug boat, 2 things should be beyond dispute: (1) Pete Hegseth is in way over his head as Secretary of Defense, and (2) Hegseth's appointment reflects very poorly on Trump's competence as an executive.

How embarrassing is it that this boorish jackass is our president?
Trump on Somalis: "We're gonna go the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage into our country. Ilhan Omar is garbage. She's garbage. Her friends are garbage."

Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Reporter: “What part of your body was the MRI looking at?”
Trump: “It wasn’t the brain.”
Most likely: It was the brain, and the fact that Trump wouldn't admit this means that the MRI was being done for a reason that he finds embarrassing, such as detecting dementia or some age-related brain issue.

Yikes, indeed.
So yes, this pic (and the enlargement) was taken today.

Yikes!

This is why the wealthiest of the ultra-rich CEOs have been sucking up to Trump all year long.
Next year, Donald Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" will hand $67 BILLION of YOUR taxpayer dollars over to corporations for a single tax break.

Why? To "incentivize" research these companies did years ago.

Let that sink in. YOUR money being used to boost Amazon's profits even more.

I predict that an honest evaluation will be done some day of the 2016 and 2024 elections, and Trump will be shown to have lost both.

The reminder made by Senator Mark Kelly and his colleagues that U.S. military personnel should refuse to follow orders to engage in illegal activity was nothing remarkable. They were merely restating what members of the military should already know.

Remember when Trump used to speak this eloquently and with such inspiration? Me neither.
Barack Obama gave us a #CupOfJoe in 2008 that brought tears to my eyes. “The true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, & unyielding hope.”

Trump's plan for Ukraine would elevate him to Neville Chamberlain status. "By rewarding Putin's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine based on his obsession with making it part of Mother Russia, the U.S. will be putting the whole European Union under Putin’s thumb." www.nytimes.com/2025/11/22/o...

Ukraine has been presented with more of a capitulation demand than a peace plan, and there's no way that Trump's people presented the "plan" to President Zelenskyy without having first satisfied President Putin's demand. abcnews.go.com/US/putin-zel...

If Trump is suffering from dementia, as has been surmised, and the severity of his condition is accelerating, there are going to be a lot of Trump apologists who will deserve every bit of criticism they receive for putting Trump first and the country last.

Actually, it is about truth, as well as justice for the victims.
Barrasso won't commit to holding a Senate vote on an Epstein files measure and says, "this is not about truth, this is about an attempt by the Democrats to make President Trump a lame duck president and I'm not gonna aid and abet them in their effort to do that."
