Musk also knows that his supporters will never read the actual emails, so by saying they've been "misinterpreted," they can easily dismiss them as distortions and anti-Trump propaganda. Though I don't know how anyone could misintepret this one:

We're about to spend the next few decades relearning the lessons of the past. Once masses of people die from measles or are disabled by polio, the people who did this are all going to wonder why these "eradicated" diseases have returned. It'll be the Tim Robinson hotdog meme from the lot of them.

I just want to say that Holly Hunter is a wonderful Star Trek captain and maybe the best of the streaming era shows (sorry, Anson).

Her name was Renee Nicole Good. She had a 6-year-old child, who now has no living parents. Her murder was an act of evil by a lawless authoritarian regime. We are all of as at risk, now. www.startribune.com/she-was-an-a...

The front page of the New York Times today is something else. Everything, save for Robert Redford's death, is taken from the right-wing frame. I guess there are no opponents to the administration they can report on.

I can't tell you how much I hate the New York Times. They're just trolling us, now.

Anyone who has seen the Empire Strikes Back knows how fascists honor their commitments. There's no appeasement. If you're going to be destroyed no matter what, then decide to make it as hard as possible for them.

I was just thinking about how at the end of Game of Thrones, Dany burned all of Kings Landing to the ground and called it freedom. Everyone hated it. It's kind of what's happening in America right now.

"There's no way to talk someone out of beating you up if that's what he wants to do," said Elliot Gould's character in the 70s film, Little Murders. Seems apt today.

When bragging about "founding" multibillion dollar companies, Musk really exudes Max Fisher in Rushmore vibes.

I love it when billionaires like Jason Calacanis feel like they can lecture the rest of us on "getting by with less" or "doing it ourselves." My retirement will depend on social security and medicare to supplement my meager savings. Screw this guy and his "up by your bootstraps" bullshit.

I'm rewatching Twin Peaks with my kids, and it's really incredible that this show -- even in its most conventional moments -- was ever on broadcast television.
