I don’t think we should make concessions to the Masked Murderers Guild of America. I don’t think we should compromise so the Masked Murderers Guild of America stops using kidnapped kids from schools as bait. I thought this was already illegal. The Masked Murderers Guild of America should not exist.

A retired Minneapolis couple who had guns pointed at them by ICE in a church parking lot.

"They were obviously not trained at all. I've known many police officers in my life. These people were right off the streets."

"They had the professional demeanor of criminals."

I'm surprised that George Will is still writing in 2026. Also surprised that the shambling corpse of the Washington Post editorial page ran something this directly critical of their friends in the White House.
"Today, it is more than prudent, it is good citizenship to assume that everything ICE says, and everything the administration says in support of its deportation mania, is untrue until proved to be otherwise."

The latest from George F. Will:
Opinion | Assume this loutocracy is lying about ICE until proven otherwise
Kristi Noem isn’t the only reason millions of Americans increasingly distrust the deportation mania.

Marco Rubio: "The oil proceeds are being deposited into an account that ultimately will become a US Treasury blocked account here in the US. We will say 'this is what this money can be spent on.' They will submit to us a budget request -- 'we want to use the money on these things.'"

"In Minneapolis, as the scale and intensity of oppression increased, the answer to 'What can I do?' evolved from protest to something riskier and more demanding: nonviolent resistance."
What Should Americans Do Now?
We need a mass movement for basic decency.

Nothing Carney said is wrong. The U.S. is a coercive, unreliable trading partner that changes policy at its leader's whim. They're just angry that Canada has agency.
Bessent: "I'd encourage Carney to do what he thinks is best for Canadians, not his own virtue signaling. We do have a USMCA negotiation coming up. He rose to power on an anti-American, anti-Trump message. That's not a great place to be when you're negotiating w/ an economy multiples larger than you"

It's so predictable that I'll read a seemingly insightful piece about MAGA fascism and buried in paragraph 10 will be a dig at "wokeism" or "woke radicals," as if people asking for decency is equivalent to murdering civilians in the street. Sorry someone asked you use "they/them" pronouns, dude.

Fine. We will sell on the world market.
It's time for Canada to break free from this abusive relationship and chart our own future.
