I couldnt care less about how much we spent, I’m more interested in him recovering and doing well, and I have to say that the rest of them should take a look at how Wirtz plays hime through as this is how he trives

We slip into slo mo when teams go low block, when the tactic needs to be faster passing to get them out of shape and get in behind-Kerkez has made too many mistakes when crossing the ball, need Andy on aft half and step up the pace and delivery into the box

I don’t agree with that, look at the league he is in. Even when he was in the two horse Spanish League we had a journalistic love affair with him. This exact attitude and the perpetuation of this romantic ideal pushed worthy winners of the Ballon D’Or away from worthy winners. Same with Renaldo.

Really liked what I saw from everybody today, cohesive, compact, excellent Press, winning 1st and 2nd balls, creating alot of chances. Agree with David about Mo. Jones & Wirtz imperious. If we maintain consistency, avoid injury and sharpen up the combos up front, we will be flying

I think he showed himself well, Maccer got in his way for what prob would have been a goal. Won alot of tackles, just needs to keep working on gelling upfront, but its the same all across the attack
