Abundance people love themselves some Richard "Still into race 'science'" Hanania.

Which is part of why I have so little time for Abundance!

Wonder why so much of DC is unplowed?

Why getting a private equity owned NFL franchise into town is a far greater priority than youth sports?

It's all about Mayor Bowser.

NEVER trust anyone who has ever supported her as Mayor.

A competent Democratic Party would run HARD on how the Trump presidency exists to protect the interests of AI oligarchs.
December 8, 2025 at 3:09 PM
Nothing gets to the ultimate disingenuousness of "popularism" than his deeply embedded status with AI.

Rather than sucking up to AI oligarchs, Democrats ought to commit themselves to fighting against them.
November 27, 2025 at 4:12 PM
There is no greater need on the center-left and in the center than unity against AI (or crypto) bailouts.

If Trump does it, he has to do it alone with his oligarch pals, no Democratic support ala Pelosi/Obama in 2008 or Biden & Larry Summers in 2023 (SVB).

Financial markets believe that Jay Powell will do what Donald Trump wants.

They're almost certainly right! (in the long run this bubble will burst in emphatic fashion, but the when is still TBD and can be delayed)

As I told the New York Times: We should be past the era of listening to Larry Summers, but it is far from clear that we have achieved that elevated state. More work is necessary! www.nytimes.com/2025/11/20/u...

I want to highlight one critical chunk of a brilliant summary piece on Larry Summers by my colleague @dylangyauchl.bsky.social. This bit concerns the revolving door and scuzzy businesses relying on made men with government experience. theintercept.com/2025/11/18/l...

OpenAI is among the handful of the most powerful non-governmental institutions in the world.

Larry Summers could get fully jettisoned from Harvard (hasn't yet happened!) and yet still be fine so long as he is helping determine the future of AI.

CRIME PAYS -- when you're a corporate behemoth.

Keep this in mind every time a neoliberal suggests that Democrats should "make nice" with Silicon Valley! www.reuters.com/investigatio...

1. Bipartisanship is not an end but a means, and/but

2. it's really kind of like an intoxicant.

It's really dangerous for the world that it is unsurprising that Amazon could screw up ROYALLY and yet see their stock price increase further ON THE SAME DAY.
