Criticizing Democrats from the left does not reinforce right wing arguments. (indeed, fwiw, it makes Democrats seem more moderate!)

Criticizing Democrats from the right reinforces MAGA criticism.
The *vibe* of the new publication is clearly “we are here to defend liberalism against its leftwing assailants.”

Launching that sort of publication in summer 2025 is, let’s just say, *A CHOICE*.

There is an evergreen market for that sort of writing. You will never go broke writing this stuff.

Wow: A top GOP candidate for governor in Minnesota just announced that he is dropping out from the race. *And* that he is leaving the Republican Party.

He blamed the GOP's "stated retribution on the citizens of our state."

Chris Madel ends GOP bid for governor, says he can’t support federal ‘retribution’ against Minnesota
His exit comes as some other Republicans have started to distance themselves from the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the state.

Everyone of the seven Democrats and the Democratic leadership which engaged in kabuki theater last week to help Republicans pour more money into Trump/Miller’s ICE machine of murderers - deserve to get primaried into oblivion.

The consulting industry enabling them should be burnt to the ground.
The murder of Alex Pretti might prove to be a political turning point for the GOP. It should be a turning point for Dems, too. For the current leadership, and the consultant-industrial complex, which just fatally endangered the careers of seven members who chose to put morality last.

The idea is that the party should learn from its "overperformers" who overperform by dint of following polls and playing it safe. But the overperformers are not possessed of unusual gifts. They're just playing the game of politics under different constraints. www.offmessage.net/p/a-failure-...

They have spent the Trump administration, and really the past several years, following a playbook that treats politics as a solved game. It was plain all along that this approach would end with Dems voting to fund atrocities out of political expediency. www.offmessage.net/p/a-failure-...

Palantir is a cancer in the NHS. And now that Labour, Tories, and Reform all plan an ICE-like “national police force”, you can bet Palantir will already be pitching the parties’ advisors for that action.
Why Minneapolis? How are they choosing their targets?

404 Media also recently learned Palantir is working on a tool for ICE that populates a map with potential deportation targets based on addresses, and ICE is using it to find locations where lots of people it might detain could be based.

Correct. Republicans have already appropriated $75 billion for ICE in Trump's ugly reconciliation bill with essentially no guardrails. They don't need any more money and Dems should be pushing to put restrictions or claw back those billions.

The video pretty clearly shows the armed thugs taking the gun out of his waistband, throwing it to the side, then emptying a clip into his body. But you keep on licking those boots, Chip.

Important. We need to rebalance the federal judiciary. The corporate sellouts and religious nationalist creeps Leonard Leo et al have been adding to the bench are deeply dangerous.
Don’t forget - “The Eighth Circuit granted the Trump administration’s request to block, for the moment, a lower court’s injunction limiting how federal agents interact with protesters in Minnesota.”

Those judges should have to answer for the tragic loss of Alex Pretti’s life.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

Voters will be unhappy about the economy WITHOUT politicians or political groups discussing it.

Voters will not necessarily know that we're living in a dystopic proto-dictatorial country without the Opposition Party loudly opposing authoritarianism.
