Criticizing Democrats from the left does not reinforce right wing arguments. (indeed, fwiw, it makes Democrats seem more moderate!)

Criticizing Democrats from the right reinforces MAGA criticism.
The *vibe* of the new publication is clearly “we are here to defend liberalism against its leftwing assailants.”

Launching that sort of publication in summer 2025 is, let’s just say, *A CHOICE*.

There is an evergreen market for that sort of writing. You will never go broke writing this stuff.

“Abolish ICE” is literally the MODERATE position in America today. Not even the position Schumer’s constituents are demanding. The MODERATE position is “abolish.”
Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.
Senate Democrats plot strategy as DHS standoff deepens heading into shutdown week
Two sources who were on a Democratic caucus strategy call Sunday said Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told the group the message must be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

This is not about Bovino or Noem. They need to go.

This is about Stephen Miller - he has been masterminding and leading Trump's immigration regime of terror. Until Miller is gone from the White House, nothing will change.

As long as Miller is there - he will run the show as the de facto POTUS.

I wonder what percentage of the pundits who attack the left on immigration or from an Abundance point of view have either:

1. Praised Hillbilly Elegy or
2. Collaborated with Bari Weiss.

I bet it's a majority?

Since there's a debate this week and you know what Trump admin is planning, @democrats.senate.gov should add language to DHS approps to prevent CBP/ICE from interfering in elections - and add language that prevents DOJ from taking state voter databases

you know what they're doing, stop them!
Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

Pro-Palestinian voices are regularly censored by ostensibly "pro-free speech" people, which is why I do not take seriously people who have ever collaborated with, e.g , Bari Weiss.

Everyone of the seven Democrats and the Democratic leadership which engaged in kabuki theater last week to help Republicans pour more money into Trump/Miller’s ICE machine of murderers - deserve to get primaried into oblivion.

The consulting industry enabling them should be burnt to the ground.
The murder of Alex Pretti might prove to be a political turning point for the GOP. It should be a turning point for Dems, too. For the current leadership, and the consultant-industrial complex, which just fatally endangered the careers of seven members who chose to put morality last.
