Affidavit from Maywood ASA Jose Villarreal, testifying under oath that the presence of ICE/CPB is harming his office's prosecution of crimes.
Aggressive immigration enforcement by Homeland Security agents in and around
Cook County courthouses undermines that trust and cooperation by instilling fear of arrest and
deportation in the victims and witnesses of violent crime.

10. The activities of the Department of Homeland Security in and around the 4th
Municipal District courthouse, the Domestic Violence courthouse, and the main Cook County
Criminal Courthouse located at 2650 S. California in Chicago has materially harmed the State's
Attorney’s office’s efforts to protect the victims of crime and uphold the law through criminal
prosecution.

Tae For instance, I am familiar with a murder prosecution in which a witness has
expressed to my ASAs that she is afraid to come to court and testify for fear that she could be
arrested by Homeland Security agents. In this case, the fearful witness is the wife of the murder
victim.

12 Their fear of arrest makes it more likely that her husband’s murderers will go free
and justice will be denied.

To the TSA agents at a fully staffed PIT — was through security in 5 min — this afternoon who are working without pay…

…on behalf of all American taxpayers…

Sorry. And thank you.

One of the things I really liked about S2 of “Andor” was how few Imperial Stormtroopers there were.

Lucas put them in masks for two reasons, IMHO: 1) it made them terrifying, their inhuman faces frozen in frowns, with no pity, feeling, etc. Echo of his enforcer robots in THX-1138.

FWIW, the person who had the top percentile impact scores is not on social media

Yep. I have one colleague who got an NOA for all 4 years of a requested proposal, but meanwhile...

A colleague just heard that two NIH grant proposals -- totally aligned with addressing chronic disease -- one with a 4th percentile and one with a 1st percentile score, will likely not be funded.

See rationale in the image.

This does not seem like "radical transparency."

Not sure how the now hundreds-of-millions of dollars for which we have NOAs, but have been unpaid since March 26 figure into this accounting.

Another update: Northwestern University has still not received any funds from NIH since March 26, 2025.

We still have not received written communication stating that the funds are frozen, the reason why, or what can be done to restore it.

Internist asking a virologist.

How many non-self antigens is a human body typically interacting with at any given moment?

How many of those interactions could be considered -- and this is tough to deliniate -- non-trivial?

Can we just watch the movie and skip the extrajudicial killing part?

So...if he's going to comment, based on appearance that America's children have "mitochondrial challenges."

Might I, in parallel, offer that bro's T dose is too high.

Agree. The hearing brought to light his lack of knowledge on the agencies and health issues he is over

RFK Jr. rolled out that old chestnut again about how healthy Americans were in the 60’s, so here’s a fact check.

In 1965:

-42% of American adults smoked; it’s 11% now.

-The infant morality rate was 24.7/1000; it’s 5.6/1000 now.

-Overall life expectancy was 70 years; it's about 77 years now.

I take Ozempic, a GLP-1 agonist, for weight loss. I lost 80 lbs. It has completely transformed my life and health, both physical & mental. But it is not without cost.

Microdosing without evidence is a bad idea. Here are a few reasons why👇🏻

How microdosing GLP-1 drugs became a longevity ‘craze’
Internet companies are helping stoke enthusiasm for “microdosing” weight-loss drugs for wellness, mood and joint pain.
