We don’t need to flatten or dumb things down.
 But we do need to help people navigate the experience.

That might mean explaining unfamiliar traditions.

Or welcoming different expressions of enthusiasm.

Or just making it easier to show up without feeling small.

That’s why he can say weird things like “I love God,” and people think he’s the Pope. His behavior hasn’t changed, but his followers believe what he wants them to believe reality is.
