The stupidest part is this could still end up a pretty good year due to the Atlantic being wide open, especially if 34's healthy and Stolarz can do what he did again with an even bigger workload. But I just have a hard time seeing a pathway to this team asserting itself over a serious opponent

Now the top-end is starting to fade (Marner gone, Matthews' health TBD, JT getting older, Nylander losing some insulation due to all of the above), the layers behind them aren't overly imposing, the defence still can't score and "try to win the other minutes 0 to -1" seems more necessary than choice
