My banner is my favorite tree in my westernish MA backyard when it just starts turning red in autumn.

I never use quotation marks for emphasis

Hey white nationalists/supremacists,

Are there people in your circle who aren’t *quite* white enough for you? They’re useful now, but maybe later you won’t need them?

Well, I’ll let you in on a secret.

Somebody in your group is thinking the exact same thing about you.

Sweetheart, we’re not from Boston. OK, you lived in the Boston area when we were dating and we would drive the 90 min to see each other, but I’ve NEVER lived near Boston. I haven’t been there in more than a year, and I drive west for everything.

I have to answer first next time and say Western MA.

Bannon said Trump would be president in 2028.

Yeah, he most likely will be.

Bannon did NOT say 2029. He wanted people to lose their minds over it.

Why isn’t it “based on” anymore? Is it a Massachusetts Gen X and older thing that makes “based off” sound so wrong to me?

It’s evidently a requirement of this administration that its officials be incompetent and act like insolent, arrogant, spoiled tweens. No news there.

Too bad it’s so easy for that type of person to destroy everything before competent, mature people can maneuver the Howitzers out of their reach.

I wonder how much of the current situation could have been avoided if someone had just bought Stephen Miller’s paintings

When the LiveNation CEO stories started popping up I was wondering why I knew the name Michael Rapino. I kept thinking - I’ve seen that name recently in a different context, but where?

It turns out he’s married to Jolene Blalock and I’ve been watching StarTrek Enterprise and looking up the cast. 😂

So no one can ever call out fascist or authoritarian behavior because that’s “violent rhetoric.”

That seems awfully convenient for the fascists and authoritarians.

I keep seeing the term “ex-addict” when people describe RFK Jr.
How does that work? With alcohol, you’re recovering, but you can kick a heroin addiction? It sounds more likely that he has shifted to using some other substance, especially since neither of his feet are firmly planted in reality.

McCarthyism pretty much died with McCarthy.

We’re dealing with people who feel they can only be truly happy if other people are suffering. The more other people suffer, or lose, the happier they think they’ll be.

And a few are just in a race to become the first trillionaire.

Busy day yesterday, but it was great to see a No Kings rally in a tiny Western MA town during our travels. We ended our day by bringing the kiddies to a toy-themed monster truck show where the only red hats were for a local kids’ lacrosse team.

People are pointing out how stupid the golden dome is, questioning why we’d need protection from short-range missiles from Mexico or Canada.

I’m asking what he’s planning to do to our closest neighbors…and also saying - dumbass, this isn’t about what glitters. Gold is squishy compared to iron.

You can reserve tickets to the 250th Anniversary of the U.S. Army Grand Military Parade, which has nothing at all to do with Trump’s birthday and is a great way to spend taxpayers’ money.

Hey opentable, I know MA is small, but not so small that we all consider driving to Cambridge for brunch. That’s a 3 hour round trip for me.

Felt this earthquake in westernish Massachusetts near Quabbin Reservoir.

The loudest, whiniest people keep loudly whining that they are being silenced.

And other people believe them.

The voters who put him over the top - the ones who only vote every 4 years - have NO IDEA what is going on right now. They wanted cheaper groceries and thought changing parties in the White House would do that. They were uninformed then, and they are uninformed now.

It was 10°F when I was pouring my coffee this morning and I thought, “Oh look, the cold snap is over.”

I might still wear my Maine Mountain parka though, because I love the color, “cayenne.”
