The accusations against the Democrats who reminded soldiers and sailors of their duty to disobey illegal orders are obviously silly.

Doesn't matter if they're silly. It, in fact, it's designed to break the target financially.

Hi. I know the Konami code. It's not even obscure and only very rarely useful.
i was going through my X archives and found this by @superpodsaga.com, which I qrt'd at some point years ago

so, let me bring the question back: what is the most useless piece of video game knowledge you know?

I keep considering "effective altruism." Specifically how naming it that is fucking annoying.

If you put those words together, that sounds fucking amazing. "Who wants ineffective altruism?" And I get that's "marketing."

I could probably write a whole book on an effective method of altruism.

The thing is that Google was so good and now that can't easily be recaptured by much of anything thanks to AI.

Maybe there is a way, but I ain't smart enough to figure it out.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Imagine Joe Rogan letting AI punch up his next special.

I mean. Probably couldn't hurt.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

Rich techies commissioning furry art:

What about a novel? Or a symphony? Or poem?
Rich people should give writers more money.

Love that they can change the narrative just by doing more terrible shit.

I don't love it.

You get it.

"You mean like an economics."

"Fuck. I invented..."

"You invented economics again."

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
