In addition, they are effectively stating that people with comorbidities that increase their likelihood of death are expendable and basically don't count when we are talking about deaths from an infectious disease.

The admin has *already* gone bonkers reducing the government. And they will continue to do so. They are just leveraging the shutdown as an excuse and trying to blame Democrats for their cuts. I would argue that they have DOGE'd themselves out of this particular bargaining chip.

Conway is reposting an article he wrote six years ago. People have been calling out the mental health issues for years now. Unfortunately, I don't have any hope that more notice is being paid now than in 2019.
