Received my second shingles vaccine last week. It wasn’t terrible! (although I am showing my age!) Over 90% effective at preventing shingles and the long-term nerve pain associated with it (postherpetic neuralgia or PHN).

Devastating. Yesterday, a 5-year-old boy died from the flu.
Dr. Oz was spewing advice earlier this week where he downplayed the importance of vaccines and recommended “getting sunlight”.
I don’t know whether Micah was vaccinated, but of the kids who died from flu last year, 90% were not.

I revived flu and Covid boosters on Tuesday afternoon. I was incredibly ill with vomiting, severe headache, body aches the next day. Thought I was better then had shaking chills for two hours. What a crazy couple of days. Never happened

Half of Alpena is still without power a week later.
NWS declares an emergency if an ice storm is expected to bring a .25 inch coating of ice: the storm in Michigan averaged over 1 inch & left up to 3 (!!!) inches in places. Power is still out over hundreds of miles leaving people w/out water, heat, or access to gas for generators.
