Another used books sale find. I haven’t read the first six in the series. I really only bought it because the author and one of my kids share a first name. 😆 Any reason for narrowing down choices from a large selection will do! #booksky

Found at a used book sale in Coupeville, WA. For some reason this was not required reading way back when I was in high school so I’m reading it for the first time. #booksky

How long before he says he never swore to uphold the constitution because he didn’t put his hand on the Bible?

How long before he signs an executive order outlawing Juneteenth? Honestly surprised it hasn’t already happened.

Our sweet Gus turns 16 this year. He’s mostly deaf and nearly blind, has very little patience for being groomed and can only go for short walks on a good day but he’s hanging in there. I know we won’t have him much longer so I’m spending extra time giving bum scritches and ear rubs. #dogsky #aussie

The head of our country’s government is in the early stages of consolidating total power. We must of course reject this, but that is not enough. We have to respond by creating a different and better kind of American politics than we have seen before.

A federal judge extended the block on HB 83 and granted provisional class-action status, preventing enforcement statewide. Local law enforcement cannot arrest or detain anyone based on their immigration status. This is a huge win for immigrant communities and the Constitution. tinyurl.com/27f4wx2d

🙌🏼 I’m not sure who had the amazing idea to invite this constitutional lawyer to a senate hearing that intended to prove Biden colluded with Meta to censor conservatives, but she took the opportunity to speak truth to power ✊🏼 on the hypocrite 👑 KING OF FREE SPEECH, Donald Trump, himself. 👏🏼 Brava!!

So my mum left me a pretty extensive library after she moved out of state and downsized. She is partial to British authors and mysteries. I’m gradually making my way through them all. Currently reading this beauty, copyright 1942. I love the smell of old books. #booksky

Just finished rereading a favorite from my early teens; The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. Escapism is a wonderful thing. Especially these days. #booksky

I’m so done with living in this state. What a shit show.
The emergency abortion lawsuit against Idaho has been dismissed by Trump's administration, Gov. Little has signed a ban on mask mandates into law and a bill could put guardrails on Idaho's Medicaid Expansion.

It’s Friday, which means it's time for the Idaho Matters Reporter Roundtable.

The Librarianist, P DeWitt, was unlike anything I’ve read before. And the ending was surprising. I fully expected another chapter or more. I’m not sure how I feel about it. #booksky
