Gearbox rushed this out in Early Access and left it to die, but the devs managed to split and finish it on their own. Probably the best Loot shoot I've played in years

My leading theory is that this was a Nintendo mandate. You can't tell me with a straight face the same devs that were clearly passionate about making those beautiful Metroidvania sections were passionate about making this. It feels so unnecessary and attached at the last minute as an afterthought

As someone who's halfway through it, it's really good. (The NPC shit was way overblown. He's actually mostly quiet past THAT one section, and you're alone for most of the game) However the game grinds to a screeching halt the moment you have to go through the desert to reach a new area
