One of the best things about teaching my kids to do their own laundry is that I get to snuggle under my blanket and read on this rainy day, instead of doing their laundry.

I've run myself into the ground (again) and am sick, so what energy I have today will be spent on things that make me feel better: making a breakfast I enjoy, changing pillowcases and towels, washing my pajamas, making sure all of the Christmas lights are on, maybe a cheeky trip to the library.

My anxiety has been worse than normal this week, but I have a consult appointment with a potential therapist next week and I'm honestly looking forward to it so much. Here's hoping for a good fit!

Had anxiety attack brought on by the events leading up to extended family photos yesterday. As such, I am not in the photos (I was lying on the floor of my closet sobbing instead) and ruined them. The holiday season is off to a strong start.

My husband made three types of candy today. It sounds weird but it's not.

Putting on clothes that I find comfortable at the start of the day, only to want to do nothing more than rip them off and set them on fire at the end of the day.

So I'm finally reading The Love Hypothesis and why didn't anyone ever say how sweet it is? (Also, the sunscreen scene is giving me severe secondhand embarrassment.)
