Scholars leading research centres and groups devoted to feminist/gender/sexuality research have joined together to condemn the recent UK Supreme Court judgment that erroneously reduces “sex” to biology and claims to represent feminist and gay people while doing so. Well, not in our name!

These are the reasons the Supreme Court gave for refusing to hear from the trans intervenors (whilst agreeing to hear from many transphobes).

None.

Our legal team of three barristers included two who are now KCs.

“Defining women as a biological group is a disaster for feminism. The many feminists who have argued against the biologisation of sex have been so routinely ignored that if you picked up a mainstream paper in the UK, you would not even know they existed.”

So many self described “progressive” British politicians and media were quick to condemn the segregation of trans people when it happened in the US but are now silent (or actively endorsing!) as it happens in the UK.

We must continue to protest these bathroom bans. They’re dangerous and degrading.
If you want to know how serious our decline in the UK, when North Carolina did what the Labour Government and EHRC have done, the then UK Government told LGBT+ people to beware travelling there.
