BC MLA Dallas Brodie is a vile person and needs to resign. If not, hopefully her riding secures enough signatures for a recall.

Vile politician, sacrificing vulnerable youth to further her own political ambitions.
Danielle Smith's Alberta government has announced that they will use the Notwithstanding Clause to protect three laws (all targeting trans people) from court challenges.

NEW from me in @xtramagazine.com on the lies they're using to justify such a massive move ⬇️

Check in on your friends and family, and don't leave to tomorrow what you can do today.

Life is both beautiful and extremely hard for a lot of people. Maybe, just maybe, a gentle reminder that none of us are alone could make all of the difference xx

Be kind to yourselves, we're deserve it :) xx

Way to go Canada. Ugh. When I was a child protection social worker I remember visiting a family whose baby got measles. He was so brain damaged. There are going to be so many more babies who will never have a full shot at life because of this BS. Assuming they even live.

I'm on another obscure-media hunt! This time I'm seeking a clip from a Kenny Everett show, dated March 1980, where he references "A friend of Dorothy." Anybody got any leads?

How are people feeling about the Star Trek Lego? It's pretty expensive and big, but I liked that the saucer detaches and I'm really intrigued by the GWP. Still, don't think it's in my budget right now. If it was Voyager, maybe.

A Liberal government in name only. That's what made it so easy for a Conservative to cross the floor yesterday. These cuts will have a negative impact and I can bet the federal public servants have better ideas on how to save money. I'd start with the giant budget book itself.
The federal Liberals’ new budget proposes to cut about 10% of government jobs over the next four years to bring the public service to a “sustainable size” — reneging on its election promises. @isaacphannay.bsky.social reports. #CanPoli

Kind of annoying to hear CBC justifying the drastic cuts in federal government employees. Mandatory overtime is a sign cuts will hurt Canadians.
