All writing advice is an author going, “Hey, this worked for me, so I’m sharing it in case it works for you.” That’s cool. That could be useful to someone. On the other hand, advice presented as a “rule” or as something you “must” do is stuff I think you can ignore.

Forbidden Tech

There isn't much forbidden tech. The most notable illegal item is the cybernetic suppressor; it's designed to deactivate and/or destroy cybernetics. Since Zylar Inc employs cyborgs in its security team, suppressors are banned (but there is a black market...)

Space: What's the scale of your story?

Wraith and the Revolution is set in the Milky Way galaxy, and the MC travels to a number of locations beyond Earth/Sol System throughout the book. It doesn't span the entire galaxy (there are still uncharted regions to explore.) 1/
