I love a library. The smell of old books, the getting lost in stacks, the seemingly endless periodicals and media at my fingertips. I love the brutalist spaceship at UCSD, the intricate earthen tilework at UCLA's Powell across the quad from Royce, and the deco details at LA Central Library.

I spent a summer in Bayonne, Biarritz, and st Jean de luz as a teen and it was the best summer of my life. I miss a gateaux basque, jamon, gigantic sardines and beignets on the beach.
