Coming over here to regain my sanity. Adhd. Law, humanist, rational, literal, cake and dog lover. Retired, dance to keep brain and body going.
No DMs please.
He doesn’t. He’s trying to find a way to get more people diagnosed and treated. Read the article again.

I have adhd and am medicated which significantly improves my life. The medication is free on the nhs. I have worked all my life.

This is not a mental health condition, it’s neurodiversity.

He doesn’t want to cut them. He wants to improve the service by funnelling money into that rather than benefits. If you had to choose which would you rather have?

But we don’t need financial help any more than a poor person does. Diagnosis and treatment is a far better route to a fulfilling life.

People with adhd don’t need benefits any more than poor people do. They need diagnosis and treatment and will then go on to live productive lives.
December 4, 2025 at 9:28 AM
No, it doesn’t work like that. This is a developmental condition that needs diagnosis and treatment. You can’t cure or ameliorate the underlying neurological basis with good intentions. Children have to deal with the world as it is so they need the tools to do that.

As someone who
has adhd and is left handed I feel qualified to comment. My reading of this is that it’s the benefit claims he’s concerned about. He’s not claiming over diagnosis.
I agree. We need dx and treatment not benefits.

Thank you for accurately reporting this article.

No he’s not. He’s talking about benefits, not over diagnosis.
December 4, 2025 at 8:43 AM
Listen. He wants to tackle the waiting lists for diagnosis. He’s talking about benefits like pip.
We need treatment not benefits.
December 4, 2025 at 8:39 AM
He’s talking in context of benefits like pip. Put the money into diagnosing and treatment rather than benefits.

It’s his ideology that’s really concerning, illuminated by the ‘economists’ he admires.
He is not likely to change his core beliefs. He is as naive as Corbyn and Sultana.
December 3, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Yep. He is much further to the left than generally realised.

It is estimated that up to a third of those in prison have adhd. Diagnosis and treatment would cut reoffending and free up prison space.
December 2, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Gps are not qualified to diagnose or treat ADHD. They prescribe meds and monitor under shared care. This is not recommended to change.

So take this in. Straight from the NATO meeting after Russia’s attack Britain’s primary military town, Salisbury, Boris Johnson flew unofficially to party in Umbria with a former KGB officer working for the Kremlin.

Can anyone tell me how this has been forgotten?

It is Profumo on stilts

Hey! Well done everyone🥂
Now let’s watch them studiously ignore us. As if exposing the selling out of our democracy is an unnecessary distraction, rather than critical to our national wellbeing…
