We @womenslibrary.bsky.social are so sad to hear of the death of Elspeth King, writer, activist, curator of the People's Palace who fought so hard to collect & preserve Glasgow's social and working class histories. Her book 'The Hidden History Of Glasgow's Women: The THENEW Factor' is so important.

Well orchestrated far right disinformation campaigns are escalating around hotels that are profiting from providing accommodation to people seeking asylum.

The idea of 'luxury hotels' is an easy one to organise and stoke outrage against, even when the conditions in reality are awful.
