there's a mess and fuss to me. i am trailing padfoot, forest, bramble spine— something that leaves your hands cut and cold in time. try as i might to be anything else, i am cedar ash and the translucent veins of a leaf left out in the rain— untouched for so long that she's lovely again. #poetry

I found a tiny emerald insect that looks like a leaflet. It survives on sunlight and blackberry brambles and little dew drops. Maybe this will be me in my next life, if i repent enough. Maybe i don't need love, thorn is enough.

Fun fact: after a prison break led by crows that were trained by inmates to bring them knives, crows became illegal in the US to keep as pets
stop buying bullshit you don’t need. shop at the thrift store if necessary. take up a cheap hobby. like learning how to befriend crows or how to build a bunker

Flowing linen and silks and grass skinned knees and spinning in the light coming through the window, you crack it open because, "good music needs air" and i stare openly as the golden sun hits your hair. you feel like a cup of tea with a smooch of whiskey and running through a field of red peonies.

does she keep my name between tongue and teeth or is it something heavy she carries tucked under big white wings. it feels like summer heat should be wrapped around me but it's shades of gray, the feathers are sodden— wet. this is where black and white intersect.
