White text on a black background reading: I’ve had a few (non-Earper) friends (yes, I have those) say to me, “I’m interested in listening to The Purgatory Report, but I don’t know anything about #WynonnaEarp and I don’t want to be lost.” Here’s the thing - While The Purgatory Report is inspired by the TV series Wynonna Earp, it is an entirely original creative work on its own, and does not require knowledge of the television show to listen to. The only carryover from the show is the existence of Purgatory itself. All characters and situations are brand new. While they might get the occasional mention, no characters from the TV show appear 'on-air'.
