This is good. I’m not for “central” banking. But any President having influence over a central bank compounds the issue of its existence. No govt official should have say over #monetarypolicy Its reckless and dangerous for all of us.
Central banks weren’t insulated from politics for fun. Countries that politicize monetary policy tend to get a short-term boom timed for ballots, followed by higher inflation and a lingering “can we trust you?” premium.
