I once heard it said about social networks that a dying business could always resort to blackmail given the data they had on people. Even more so with AI given all the secrets and hidden thoughts people share in text queries.

Grok in particular could out so many people.

I think investors are betting on a bailout.

Their chicken can be somewhat spicy depending on the batch. But otherwise that is so bland and perfectly on brand for him. 😂

Oh shoveling snow can be therapy for sure if it’s fluffy and just a few inches. It’s the widowmaker snow we got last weekend, and anything over a foot is hard even if it’s powder.

This is why you invest in R&D through government, pursuing knowledge for its own sale without regards for ROI. Eventually you find a use for things, but a chase for revenue requires you prioritize some avenues over others. If profitability is your only motive, you're going to do some terrible things

I believe GAI is going to be useful at some point in some contexts (likely in ways we have yet to imagine). But it's not there yet. The propaganda-like push to get people to use it is about the way these companies are funded. They need revenue now. Same quarterly mentality that ruined social media.

Utley's going to make it at some point (and should, particularly with Kent now elevated). Felix too. I am really not sure whether Pettitte did enough, if I had a vote. He won a ton of games on really good teams, but his career (and even season-to-season) ERA wasn't great
