We recently launched a series of new merch for sale, as collaborations between the Wellington Pride Festival and local queer artists. We’d like to introduce you to the artists behind the shirts. Second in our series is Kit Erwin (them/they)!

Hey #NZ #Kikorangi, if you haven’t already checked my art out, I would love new friends and appreciators of my work rn (and maybe some sales).

I hate to ask so directly but things are Not Fun for small businesses at the moment.
Just had to refund $500 worth of orders due to the new US legislations and I feel sick 😭

Friends, for something to be open source, we need to see

1. The data it was trained & evaluated on

2. The code

3. Model architecture

4. Model weights.

DeepSeek only gives 3, 4. And I'll see the day that anyone gives us #1 without being forced to do so, because all of them are stealing data.

I am a little slow joining here, but hoping I can ease back into being a bit more connected with the local nz tech community. Balancing just the right amount of dopamine in social media is easier said than done, so we’ll see how successfully that goes
