I've seen this on Bluesky and had to try it myself. The image below was the response to the prompt: "Show me a diagram of the US presidents since Herbert Hoover, with their names and years in office under their photos" Bravo, OpenAI, bravo.

This weekend I've decided to finally read Balaji Srinivasan's terrible fucking book, "The Network State."

I've put this off for as long as I possibly could. Here goes.

This isn't funny.
Krasnov is PURPOSEFULLY crashing the US economy to pave the way for chaos here in the US while Putin is allowed to destroy Ukraine and invade Europe.
China will also be free to invade Taiwan and other local satellites (if they Krasnov enough tribute money).

Honestly, it’s a travesty. What danger could Hongkongers pose—if the fear is spies mixing in, why not set up a vetting system? Why not try to tighten up existing gaps first? And the gains for Taiwanese society infinitely outweighs any dangers

This is the question we must all answer for ourselves. But if we cede democracy out of fear of Trump, things will not get better just because we cave. Freedom is worth the hard work it’s going to take.
There are only two things that stand between Trump and being a dictator -- the courts and elections. Trump wants to send a clear message to law firms that he will go after them.

It is ok to be afraid, the question is what do you do. Do you hide and cower in fear or stand tall and say it is wrong?

one of the reasons why South Koreans were able to mobilize rapidly to save democracy against Yoon's coup, and were able to stay on the streets for weeks to prevent Park's coup, was because protesting there is *super-organized* and regular
The persistent myth that civil movements and their watershed moments are spontaneous events that occur when people get "fed up" rather than the result of careful planning, study, and principled effort has done more to undermine organizing in this country than any armed repression ever could.
and a retrospective on the civil rights movement specifically, and how their various actions were not "organic mass protests" but the result of clear-eyed strategic planning
