Never forget 9/11, unless you’re Trump, Jared Kushner, and Paramount chasing a Warner Bros. takeover bankrolled by Saudi Arabia’s PIF and Qatar’s QIA so they can continue consolidating the media landscape. Remind me how this is “America First” or making anything great.

A date which will live in infamy.

Today, we commemorate the more than 2,400 Americans who were lost during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

We are forever indebted to the courage of those who stood up for democracy and freedom — and we will never forget their sacrifice.

It’s that time of year, folks. Headlines say holiday revenue is up. But higher spending doesn’t always mean people bought MORE. In fact, Salesforce data shows online order volume dropped 1% and units per transaction fell 2% compared to last year. (1/🧵)

We would benefit from a single payer healthcare system. Let’s just do it already - we’re over 1/2 there with Medicare & VA anyway. We’re all paying for those systems but we all don’t have access.

It would save us money AND increase life expectancy.
Loser Mike Johnson is pissed that we’re gaining ground in forcing a vote on extending ACA tax credits.

Even if they were drug runners, survivors of a capsized boat are protected under international law. Targeting unarmed people is illegal. Justice means following the law, not bypassing it.

We need accountability & we need it now.
Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

This is a highly unusual order from a Secretary of Defense, and it’s almost certainly a war crime.

In the strike in question, two people survived and were clinging to the side of the ruined boat, and a second mission was spun up to execute them.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.
