I spent a bunch of time getting this juuuuust right. It's the ending of a video I'm working on. Since it's at the very end it'll probably be seen by like 20% of viewers
I was working on it instead of doing the more impactful but super boring task of going through the video to add visuals and b-roll

The fusion page in DaVinci Resolve is dangerous. You can do so much that I just spend all my time figuring out how to do every silly idea I have
This is a node that masks the input to only show the area in the window and it lets you resize the window without scaling

I spent way too long making something to let me get video that looks like it's looking up through my keyboard.
I also made it smaller than life sized by accident. Oh well, seems to work well enough!

I made this bracket so that it's marginally easier to mount and unmount my camera and I'm only slightly very afraid it will fall apart dropping my camera to the floor

I tend to forget what endian the game boy is and also what the two endians even mean. So today I googled to see if the game boy is big endian (it's not, it's little endian) and I was met with my own video as a reference! That's neat! Could very well be a personalized result, but still neat!

I made a pin-the-tail on the comet for my kid's birthday party with a bunch of sticker tails. It turned out good enough!
The transparent vinyl for the comet didn't work out and I had to add an opaque backing. Lesson learned.
I think the starry background I made with my kids is the best part

This is what I spent my time doing instead of editing a video. The idea was to indicate the different rendering layers of the game boy.
I think it turned out ok considering I'd never used blender before!

I decided to be clever with the video I'm working on and I made the monitor that's usually in my background be a green screen so I could replace it with different stuff in the video.
I regret it. It's causing so much trouble and work.
