Part 2 of this little series snake designs. Part of a larger story about my #OC Chime's backstory
Two snakes twisted around an old fashioned surgical scalpel. One is red at its head and fades to blue by the tip of it's tail, the other is the reverse. The red snake had a blue eye, and the blue snake as a red eye. Scraps of fabric in red, blue, and purple are stitched on to their bodies with scale-shaped stitches. The snakes' outline is defined by faint screen printing and bold black whip stitches. Their fangs are white fill thread, and the scalpel is painted with a black handle and white blade. The design is set on a square of woven grey fabrics with a sparkly black and purple ribbon for a border.

See, its important to spend a bit of time with a character design before calling it done cause you might realize you need to make major changes to the color scheme and also that you forgot to draw the back

This is one of the #art pieces i made for the Threads of Our Lives fellowship i did at Artworks this past fall.

Part of a larger story about the origins of my #oc Chime
A crooked white rectangle with a stitched black border. A design of two snakes coiling around an old-fashioned surgical scalpel. It is mostly symmetrical, and resembles the snakes-and-staff medical symbol. The scapel blade is coated in blood and the two snakes have bright red stitching holding parts of them together. Blood splatters and black ink streaks are scattered around the background. One snake has a blue button eye and the other has a red button eye.

I'm so impressed with 3D modelers. I've never been able to get the hang of it for anything more complicated.

The Gang's All Here! (2025)

I finally finished this thing. It started it's life as a doodle. I decided to turn into a #digitalpainting for an exhibition spring 2024. I missed that deadline for sure 😅

But i'm glad i finished it anyway #art

Paint brush fish. The largest is yellow red, and the three smaller ones orange and blue. They leave flying drops of paint in a trail behind them as they sweep through the air. 12. Four smiling bubbles. 13. Three rusty smiling square heads on crooked bodies. They are cute. 14. A big fluffy storm cloud with large arms, a concerned expression, and sunburst eyes. 15. For Whom the Bell Tolls: A giant eye set atop a dark triangle body. Fleshy arms hold out a set of golden bells.

Lots of warning signs around UC's campus, especially in the science buildings.
