This law is for sexually transmitted diseases, but the way it is written would apply to vaccines for other communicable diseases.

That’s very sad to hear. According to Cal. Fam. Code §6926. A minor who is 12 years of age or older who may have come in contact with an infectious or communicable disease has the right to consent to a vaccine. Let kids know they can get it done themselves and in private. Let them make their choice.
