Trump was better at promoting himself to the "common people." Like going on Joe Rogan and shooting the shit for three hours. People found him relatable. Harris felt like she was in an ivory tower, looking down on the peasants. Doesn't matter that the opposite was true, it's how they were perceived.

To be fair we Canadians narrowly avoided electing our own "Timbit Trump" and he may very well still get into power in 3-4 years anyways since he hasn't gone away.
