We made a move 2 years ago and tbh we somewhat got it wrong but the stamp duty costs are so high it’s hard to swallow moving again so soon. I assume they would need to replace it with something else though

A long day “off” correcting the EHCP annual review. It’s so slap dash. Even the school is wrong

By integrating sharia law into our legal system? Not bothering with democracy?

About to defect to Reform, are we? Or straight to Robinson’s lot? Mind-boggling to see what is becoming of the Conservative Party which put Mosley in his place and threw Powell out after the “Rivers of Blood” speech…

My personal bechdel test for Substacks and podcasts on literature:
Only or almost exclusively references white male writers
Quotes Harold Bloom, skips most 20th century ideas about books
References the straw man (or woman probably) who exclusively rereads the Harry Potter again and again

A politician who embodies the current direction of the Tory party: a supporter of all the big policy shifts of 2016-24, who literally worked in Downing Street, who has decided oh, no, it is actually the fault of the immigrants. No, it’s your fault!

According to my records, perpetrators in 14 out of the 20 formally declared terror attacks in Britain since March 2017 have had previous criminal convictions or cautions

The six exceptions include the Parsons Green bombing, murder of Sir David Amess and the 2023 Hartlepool stabbing
